Readest for Mac

Delving into the text-to-speech (TTS) feature: (1) There is zero documentation anywhere, which makes it annoying. (2) When you figure out how to access it, you find it uses Microsoft Bing's voices, and ONLY those voices specific to your geographic location, making it annoying. (I personally prefer British voices, but you can't get there from the USA). (3) OTG it has useful reading speed controls, unlike the hobbled nonsense Apple imposed on its TTS reading controls. (Thanks Craig not). I definitely prefer Readest over Yomu, despite Readest's nearly worthless documentation for anything. Let's hope Readest keeps growing up.

√ Verified! There is an iOS version of Readest! I wrote the developer requesting that they reference it on their website. ☺️

v0.9.19 is out. "Release notes: 1. Support custom CSS for Reader UI. 2. Initial support of RTL layout for Arabic and Hebrew books. • 3. Various fixes and enhancements on layout and sync."

It's a good reader, and I'd love to use it. Unfortunately, it's not available for iOS, so that makes it practically impossible to use for most books. It's really necessary to read on both platforms, so too bad. Otherwise, it's a very promising app.
